Cost per square foot is a helpful starting point, but it’s only one piece of the conversation. The real cost depends on factors like site conditions, finishes, and how involved you want to be in design decisions. We help you see the full picture so your budget and your vision align from the start.
Even with identical floor plans, details such as slopes in the land, window choices, garage size, and finish selections can shift the budget considerably. We walk you through the eight major cost drivers so you can decide where to simplify and where to invest.
Smaller homes can have a surprising percentage of fixed costs—things like one kitchen, one heating system, and one driveway. Between roughly 2,500 and 5,500 square feet, many clients find a “sweet spot” where the space and cost per square foot are both efficient.
